About Polo Safari

There is a major incident behind why Mr. Chirag Shah chose this field, and perhaps that was the true turning point of his life. Growing up in Vijaynagar, just 12 kilometers from the Polo Forest, he was always surrounded by its lush greenery, ancient temples, and timeless heritage. As a child, he spent countless hours exploring this beautiful forest, developing a deep bond with its history and nature.

One day, during one of his visits, he came across a group of tourists from England being guided through the forest. To his surprise, the guide was not a local, and the stories he narrated were completely inaccurate and far from the truth. Witnessing the misrepresentation of his homeland’s heritage left a deep impact on Mr. Shah. That very moment, he decided to dedicate himself to sharing the real story of Polo Forest with the world.

Being a native who had grown up with its legends, lived its culture, and admired its natural beauty, Mr. Shah felt it was his responsibility to present Polo Forest in its authentic form. With support from local communities and encouragement from Gujarat Tourism, he devoted more than a decade to researching and promoting the true essence of Polo Forest.

This passion gave birth to Polo Safari in 2014, a company founded with the vision to make travel more authentic, engaging, and accessible. What began as one-day tours to Polo Forest soon evolved into Ahmedabad’s first One-Day Fixed Departure concept—an idea that made short, hassle-free trips possible for thousands of travelers and became a model for others in the industry.​

Today, Polo Safari stands as a trusted and recognized name in tourism, acknowledged by Gujarat Tourism as one of the best tour operators. The company’s foundation rests on authenticity, customer trust, and community empowerment through sustainable tourism.​
